Between the two is a gap that appears almost completely dark. How\u003cspan data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003e \u003c\/span\u003eHoag's Object\u003cspan data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003e \u003c\/span\u003eformed remains unknown, although similar objects have now been identified and collectively labeled as a form of\u003cspan data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003e \u003c\/span\u003ering galaxy. Genesis hypotheses include a\u003cspan data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003e \u003c\/span\u003egalaxy collision\u003cspan data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003e \u003c\/span\u003ebillions of years ago and\u003cspan data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003e \u003c\/span\u003eperturbative gravitational interactions\u003cspan data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003e \u003c\/span\u003einvolving an unusually shaped core.
